Cityfront Plaza was initially supposed to be a three tower development controlled by Centrum Properties - developer of the Fairbanks.   However, in 2008, due to the decline in the condo market, 1 of the 3 sites was sold to North Shore architect / developer David Hovey.   Through his company, Optima Inc., the site purchased by Hovey will likely be an apartment tower on the corner of St. Clair and Illinois.
